ABOUT

Will is an enthusiastic reporter/anchor with a passion for learning. He is an experienced multi-media journalist who has spent most of his career in broadcast shooting, writing and editing his own work. Currently, Will serves as the breaking news desk anchor/fill-in anchor for WAAY 31 News in Huntsville, AL. He also is the lead reporter in the station's weekly "Skilled to Work" series. Since starting with the ABC affiliate in 2016, he has also worked as the Decatur bureau reporter. 

 

Before landing in Huntsville, Will served the Mobile-Pensacola market as an MMJ for FOX10 News in Baldwin County, one of the fastest growing counties in Alabama. While there, Will covered several large stories the commemoration of the Selma to Montgomery march. Throughout his time in Alabama, Will also was involved in the community by performing in shows like The Fantasticks, Avenue Q and Shrek the Musical.

Before moving to Alabama, Will interned with WLNS 6 News in Lansing, MI where he worked as a reporter. Prior to that, he held a writing internship with Buffalo Spree, a monthly magazine serving the Western New York area. Will spent his four years at Northwestern University working on the award-winning Northwestern News Network. During that time, he wore just about every hat including news director, anchor, MMJ and director. Will graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. He also spent all four years studying theatre in addition to performing as Northwestern's mascot: Willie the Wildcat.

Will is well versed in a variety of social media and editing tools including Edius, Sony Vegas, Adobe Premiere, Illustrator, Photoshop Audacity, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, 

Instagram, Snapchat, and YouTube.
